Iconic Atlanta hotel 'buzzing' with rooftop hive
ATLANTA - It's an iconic Atlanta hotel which has been featured in blockbuster hits like The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Spider-Man: Homecoming -- but the buzz you hear coming from the Atlanta Marriott Marquis has nothing to do with movie stars.
Few guests are probably ever aware that the Atlanta Marriott Marquis houses a rooftop hive, in which thousands of bees from a farm in North Georgia spend their days making honey. The honey is then collected and used throughout the hotel, including in dishes and drinks at hotel restaurant Sear and cocktail lounge Pulse.
Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken spent the morning up on the roof at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, learning more about these hard-working bees and how they're sweetening the stay for the hotel's guests.
