Meet the longest season ticket holder for the Braves

ATLANTA - When it comes to Braves baseball, 88 year old T.W. Lord has just about seen it all.

As a Braves season ticket holder since 1969, he has been there for most of the great moments in Braves history. He was there when Hank Aaron hit home run #715 in 1974, and he will be there for the beginning of the end of the Turner Field era as the Braves open the 2016 season hosting the Washington Nationals.

This year, the Braves will say goodbye to their home since 1997, Turner Field, a place where they have experienced a lot of success.  In 19 seasons at 'The Ted', the Braves made the playoffs 12 times, even advancing to the World Series in 1999.  So trying to choose some of the top moments at a place that has hosted so many is a tall order, but not for the team's longest tenured season ticket holder.

Lord made the move from Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium with the Braves, and he has already picked out his seats as he prepares to follow his beloved team to SunTrust Park in Cobb County next year.

He just hopes the Braves will give Turner Field a proper send off...with a playoff apprarance. In fact there's nothing he'd like more than saying goodbye to the soon to be former home of the Braves, with a World Series title. Unlikely yes, but what a way to go...and remember they almost did it in 1996, the final year at the previous home of the Braves.
