Athens police officer gifts stuffed animals to young girls
ATHENS, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A family wanted to thank an Athens-Clarke County Police officer who shared a little holiday spirit with their daughters by giving them teddy bears inside a fast food restaurant Friday night.

The family told FOX 5 News they were eating at the Wendy's on South Barnett Shoals Road last Friday, while Officer Timothy Edford finished his food at a table nearby.
The officer briefly left the restaurant and returned with two stuffed animals for the young girls.
"He approached us and respectfully asked us if it will be ok with us to let him give a presents to our girls," the family wrote in a message to the police department. "Here is a picture of him and my girls. I wish I could get his name. Thanks to him and thank you all for everything you do for our community. God bless you all and happy Merry Christmas!"
The family said they are so thankful for this act of kindness, and for all the department does.
