Atlanta Humane Society helps animals displaced by Florence
ATLANTA - The Atlanta Humane Society is helping make room for dogs and cats displaced by Hurricane Florence.
They took in 14 animals from a shelter in Greensboro, North Carolina, arrived at the humane society Thursday evening.
The North Carolina shelter was not located in an evacuation zone, but officials said this move will help make more space for animals that were displaced by the storm.
Once workers give the animals a checkup, they'll be available for adoption.
