Braves Care Community Day

ATLANTA - Some youth baseball fields and the facilities at the Atlanta Baseball Academy look nearly brand new.

A team of volunteers spent Tuesday morning working, renovating, and beautifying the property On Pryor Road.

The event was part of Braves Care Community Day hosted by the Atlanta Braves and Delta Airlines.

Organizers said it was recognition of Hank Aaron Week, a week dedicated to honoring Braves Hall-Of-Famer's Hank Aaron's accomplishments on and off the field.

The Braves will wear 1974 style uniforms for their Friday and Saturday games.

The players will then sign the uniforms and put them up for auction, with the proceeds partly going to Aaron's Chasing the Dream Foundation.
