Atlanta officers searching for driver in deadly hit and run

ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Police are searching for a driver responsible for a deadly hit and run in Northwest Atlanta. 

According to Atlanta police, an unidentified woman was walking in the road at James Jackson Parkway and Proctor Drive at around 10 Friday night when she was hit by a driver who left the scene.

A short while later, the woman was hit by a second car, but this time the driver stayed and contacted police.

Investigators described the first driver as a black woman in a blue uniform driving a dark-colored SUV.
