Atlanta reality show star arrested after violence inside a middle school
SMYRNA, Ga. - An Atlanta reality star is in trouble with the law. Tommie Lee from Love & Hip Hop Atlanta was arrested by Smyrna Police Tuesday night. There are six charges against her including Cruelty to Children involving her own daughter.
According to the arrest warrant, the 34-year-old, whose real name is Atasha Jefferson, was at Griffin Middle School in Smyrna. Her daughter is a student there. The warrant says Jefferson "Shoved her head first forcefully into a medal school locker." The report goes on to say Jefferson hit the child with the strap on her purse, and "grabbed her hair then forced her to walk down the hallway".
"I can't imagine anything a child would do, especially a child that age, that would have that reaction from a parent," said Debbie Busbee whose children attend the middle school.
Jefferson is charged with Cruelty to Children and Aggravated Assault, both felonies. She is also charged with 3 counts of Simple Battery and Disruption of a Public School.
She bonded out of jail Wednesday morning. FOX 5 went to her Smyrna home to see if she wanted to talk about the arrest, some young girls who appeared to be teenagers stepped outside and said she didn't want to talk and "there's nothing to it".
This isn't the first time Jefferson has been in trouble with the law. She has openly talked about her criminal history and having been arrested dozens of times.
