Body found behind Atlanta apartment

ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Atlanta Police are investigating after a body was discovered behind an apartment building.

Officials said the body of an 18-year-old man was found near Stone Road in southwest Atlanta Sunday.

Police said he had been shot to death and a gun was found near his body.

The discovery was made nearly 10 hours after officers received a shots fired call from the same address.

Investigators said officers responded to the initial scene and collected shell casings but never found a victim.
