Body found in the Atlanta sewer in Buckhead

ATLANTA - Police said a body was found in the sewer by an Atlanta Watershed Management employee Wednesday afternoon.

The body was found in the 2000 block of Peachtree Road NW. Police said the body was found in the sewer along an access road beside the train tracks sound of Bennett Street NW.

According to police, the deceased person was a male in his 40-50s, and the cause of death appears to be natural causes.

Atlanta Police said Grady EMS and Atlanta firefighters were called to the scene, but nothing could be done.

Investigators said they do not immediately know the cause of death. The name of the victim has not yet been released.
