Body found in car trunk in Barrow County
BARROW COUNTY, Ga. - A missing Barrow County man is feared dead after a body was found in the trunk of a car in Gwinnett County Wednesday. Barrow County Sheriff's officials said information they obtained while responding to a missing person call near Winder Wednesday morning, led to the gruesome discovery.
Barrow County deputies responded to a missing person call at the home on Chimney Trace Drive near Winder at around 7:30 Wednesday morning to check on Victor Clark, a tenant at the home.
"While we were there the owner of the home advised us that Mr. Clark was missing, and had been missing for 24 hours and that was not like him to be gone and not contact the owner of the home at that time," Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith told FOX 5 News.
The homeowner's son, 34-year-old Anthony Woschula, also lives at the residence and was home when deputies arrived.
"He took off running from the deputies. They talked to him after a chase and after he was taken into custody," the sheriff said.
Woscula was arrested for obstruction and drug possession. He reportedly had meth on him when he was apprehended. While investigating the missing person case, he sheriff said deputies received information that the missing man's body could be found at the intersection of Whitley Road and Kilcrease Road in Gwinnett County, in the trunk of a car.
"We had the keys to the car, located a body in the car, at this time we can't say it is Mr. Clark until the GBI can do an identification and we can notify the family."
Sheriff Smith said Woschula is considered a suspect in the murder case.
