Man arrested for arson after Hall County fire on Saturday

HALL COUNTY, Ga. - One person was taken to the hospital after a house fire Saturday evening in Hall County.
The fire was reported at a single-story home along the 2300 block of Athens Highway at about 6:30 p.m.
The person received minor injuries and was taken to the hospital as a precaution, according to Hall County Fire Rescue.
After the fire, the State Fire Marshal's Office Arson K9 was brought in to check for accelerants.
As a result, 55-year-old Steven Barfield was taken into custody and charged for arson in the first degree.
No other information has been released about the suspect.
