DeKalb County jail protest ends with arrest, officers injured
ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A protest outside the DeKalb County Jail Friday night has left two police officers injured and one person arrested.
Demonstrators said they were protesting inmates' living conditions and demanding the end of inmate mistreatment.
Officials say the protestors threw smoke bombs, set off fireworks, and lit firecrackers.
Others reportedly tried to block patrol cars to prevent them from moving.
At least one person was taken into custody.
Officials have not yet released details surrounding the arrest or the conditions of two injured officers.
