Deputies: Dad, daughter arrested for dealing drugs to teens
FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. - A father and his teenage daughter are now behind bars after Forsyth deputies said the dad-daughter duo dealt drugs and targeted local teenagers as clients.
Daniel Williams, 51, and Morgan Williams, who just turned 17, are being held Friday without bond on numerous drug-related charges.
Investigators with the Johns Creek Alpharetta Forsyth Drug Task Force raided the family's home Wednesday night on Balsam Bark Drive in the Quail Hollow community, and also raided a storage unit. Deputies showed FOX 5 photos of what they seized: two pounds of marijuana, 87 colorful MDMA pills (otherwise known as "Molly" or ecstasy), and $22,000 in cash.
Investigators tell FOX 5, drug agents got a tip months ago that a local high school student was selling marijuana to other teenagers, and learned the father was also participating in the drug dealing activity.
"[They look] like Flintstone vitamins," said one mother in the neighborhood, concerned the candy-like paraphernalia was being dealt to teenagers in the area. Neighborhood leaders said they will send a note to families to check their children's possessions for these deceptive drugs.
The family is already known to authorities. In 2015, deputies arrested the family's mother and wife, Elaine Williams, after investigators said she posted an ad on Craigslist to buy a baby for her then-14-year-old daughter. The charges were later dropped.
Deputies also said the father, Daniel Williams, was recently arrested on suspicion of DUI with possession of numerous prescription pills.
