Police arrest Marietta murder suspect
MARIETTA, Ga. - The man wanted for the murder of a 34-year-old woman over the weekend was arrested Monday evening, according to police.
Justin Cox, 40, was arrested at the Western Union located in the 2100 block of Campbellton Road in Atlanta, according to police. He was wanted in connection with the death of Felicia Miller, who was found dead inside a car in her family’s driveway Sunday afternoon.
Miller’s mother said she watched a man kill her adult daughter in broad daylight outside her family's home. She said she heard a round of shots and opened the door so her grandchildren could get in the house.
"I said, ‘Felicia, why didn't she run in?’ When I looked, he [Cox] looked up at me on the porch and just unloaded the gun again for the second wave," said Blalock.
According to Marietta Police Department, Cox shot Miller as she sat in a car in the driveway on Pin Oak Court around 4 p.m. Multiple neighbors called 911 to report hearing shots and other called to notify police they had seen a man running from the neighborhood. Paramedics transported Miller to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital where she later died.
Family members said Miller was a mother of five young children, three of which were fathered by Cox, according to family members.
It was not immediately clear when Cox will make his first appearance in court.
