Officer Justin Hensal stopped and bought the man something to eat. Soon after that, Officer Hensal received an email from the man. That thank you note read in part, “I prayed for you after you left and I want you to know that YOU will continue to be in my prayers everyday as long as I live. If the LORD is willing one day after He helps me to get back up on my feet and find a home and buy a car and get settled I would be honored to take you out to lunch or dinner.”

Dunwoody Police shared the email and the story on Facebook, saying “We receive thoughtful comments with thanks from the public quite often but few quite like the one we received the other day.”
