Fire guts Dunwoody home

DUNWOODY, Ga. - Firefighters said flames were through the roof as they arrived Wednesday afternoon at a Dunwoody home.

DeKalb County firefighters said tires and auto parts in the basement of the home on Leisure Lane helped to fuel the fire.

Firefighters said they even heard sounds of possible explosions when the tires got too hot.

The homeowners were able to get out safely.

Firefighters are still trying to figure out what sparked the fire.
