A fire causes major damage to a Coweta County house and firefighters blame it on a car.

The fire started late Monday at a home on Stoney Brook Drive.

Firefighters say a car in the driveway caught fire then the flames spread to the home.

By the time firefighters arrived, the house was engulfed in flames.

Clay Neely of the Newnan Times-Herald shared a video of the fire with FOX 5 News.

It took 20 firefighters an hour to put out the fire.

A man inside the home and two pets were able to get out but the house suffered extensive damage.

The SKYFOX Drone flew over the house, showing just how bad the damage was.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Though firefighters believe it started inside the engine compartment of the car.
