Kennesaw police officers involved in overnight shooting

KENNESAW, Ga. - Kennesaw police tell FOX 5 Atlanta that officers were involved in a shooting after a burglary at a gas station overnight.

Kennesaw Police Public Information Officer Scott Luther said the Texaco near Jiles and Moon Station roads was burglarized before 4 a.m. When officers arrived at the scene, police said the suspects started to flee and fired shots. The officers returned fire, but no one was injured according to Officer Luther.

Officer Luther said that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation responded to the scene to investigate.
