Man arrested, $40K worth of meth seized in drug bust
GORDON COUNTY, Ga. - A Gordon County man is behind bars after a major drug bust.
According to the Gordon County Sheriff's Office, they began investigating a large-scale distribution of methamphetamine in early September. During the investigation, 78-year-old Julius Boswell, known as Pops, was arrested for multiple counts of trafficking in methamphetamine, and distribution of methamphetamine.
Bowell was taken into custody at his home on Pioneer Drive. Sheriff's detectives also seized several pounds of methamphetamine estimated at over $40,000.
Boswell has two previous convictions for methamphetamine trafficking in Gordon County Superior Court and was on parole at the time of his arrest.
