Man wanted for shooting mother and 11-year-old son

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - DeKalb County Police are looking for Damien "Day-Day" Armstead in connection to the shooting of a woman and her 11-year-old son.

Officers responded to a home along the 3100 block of Citrus Court Monday morning to find a mother and her young son shot multiple times. Police said Armstead forced his way into the home and shot the woman several times while her three children slept in their beds.

Somehow the woman’s 11-year-old son was also shot. Both the mother and child were rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

The incident happened at the Aspen Woods community off Flat Shoals Road near South DeKalb Mall.

Anyone with any information on either shooting is asked to call the police.
