The search for a missing Haralson County woman resumed Thursday after the man she was last seen with turned himself into authorities on Wednesday.

In a Facebook post, the Haralson County Sheriff’s Office announced Jeffery Seth Odom, 36, turned himself into deputies early Wednesday morning. However, deputies have still not located Odom’s on-again, off-again girlfriend, Jessica Victoria Earl, 31, also known as Jessica Jones King.

Earl has been missing for several weeks and her mother said she's confident Odom knows where her daughter is.

"I'm absolutely positive he knows where she is, he knows where she's located," said Sandra King.

Earl and Odom were last seen together on June 8. King said that's exactly one month after they first met. King said it wasn't until after the two vanished, that she learned Odom had a criminal history and law enforcement considered him armed and dangerous.

"That's when we got scared," said King.

Deanna Helton made the appeal last Thursday to her son who goes by Seth.

Haralson County deputies had looked for Odom for weeks. Deputies said the two had stayed at a friend’s home on Little Circle, west of Tallapoosa in early June since neither one has a permanent residence. No one has seen Earl since.

Sheriff’s investigators said Odom, on the other hand, had surfaced as recently as earlier last week. The sheriff's office said they located a phone belonging to Earl in the woods near the area and have been searching with the Paulding-Haralson Drug Task Force and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to see if they can locate Earl but to no avail.

Authorities said Odom has an extensive criminal history and has numerous warrants out for his arrest.
Deputies earlier arrested a number of people for allegedly helping Odom elude deputies. Authorities considered him extremely dangerous.

Investigators have made an open appeal to the missing woman to come forward for her mother’s sake and her two young children, offering to protect her if she needs it.

There is a $1000 reward in this case, and the family has set up a Facebook page Missing Jessica Earl for any tips.

Deputies ask anyone who may have information or sightings of Earl to please call them at 770-646-2011.
