NFL player charged with rape in Atlanta

ATLANTA - An NFL football player has been charged with rape in Atlanta for an incident which happened 5 years ago, according to police.

Police said a woman came forward last month to report she had been raped by Denver Broncos defensive end Adam Gotsis in 2013.

The woman told investigators Gotsis, who was a member of the Georgia Tech football team at the time, raped her after a party where they met.

Gotsis turned himself in at the Fulton County Jail last week.

He has since been released on a $50,000 bond.
