Patriots, Falcons join forces for the best possible reason
ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - It is no major secret that there is no love lost between the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots fans, but a heartwarming gesture could go a long way in thawing the cold war between teams.
Before taking to the sidelines Sunday, the Patriots Cheerleaders made a special stop at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.
They were joined by the Falcons Cheerleaders as they met with patients and their families. They gave out more than 200 “Super Baskets of Hope” gifts and helps to spread cheer in Atlanta’s children’s hospital.
The Cheerleaders said they have a number of appearances ahead of the big game, but they liked this one the best.
A number of NFL players, coaches, alumni, and even mascots also stopped by throughout the day.
