Police: Child found outside naked, mother arrested

COBB COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A 36-year-old mother was arrested after police said neighbors found her 5-year-old child naked in the dark and running in the street. 

Modupe Kehinde was arrested for reckless conduct and taken to the Cobb County Jail. She is still being held as of Sunday night on a $1,320 bond. 

According to a warrant, Thursday morning, police said the mother left her child alone at home while driving to drop another one off at an area school.  

The temperature, according to officers, was 37 degrees. Witnesses said it was still dark outside. 

According to the warrant, the child was wearing no clothes or shoes when found at the busy intersection of Mapleton Parkway and Gallant Circle. 

Neighbors said they called 911 after seeing the child in the street. 

According to the Marietta Daily Journal, jail records show she is from Nigeria and has a hold for Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
