Police: KSU student arrested for felony rape
KENNESAW, Ga. - Police have arrested a Kennesaw State University student after they say he raped a woman after she asked him to stop during sexual intercourse.
Officials say 20-year-old Benjamin David Wainscott invited the victim to dinner and, afterward to his dorm room. During sex, the victim asked Wainscott to stop multiple times, but authorities said in the warrant for his arrest that he continued for at least another two to three minutes.
The victim, who was not a KSU student, reported to Kennesaw State University Police Department that she had been raped, KSU officials said in a statement.
Police said in the warrant that they have text messages sent by Wainscott "apologizing to the victim for forcing the victim to have sex with him."
Wainscott has been charged with felony rape and is being held in jail without bond.
