Police search for tire dumping suspect

ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Police have identified the man who they say has dumped thousands of tires in Clayton County.

In the past hour, police held a news conference to talk about their case against Donald Leverette.

They believe Leverette has dumped more than 100,000 tires in the county.

The most recent case was at around 1 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Investigators say they chased him, but he got away.

Police say they have taken another person into custody, but that suspect is not being helpful.

Investigators believe Leverette also dumped tires in Fayette, Cobb, and Fulton counties.
