Police: Teacher arrested for hitting students in head
BIBB COUNTY, Ga. - The Bibb County Sheriff's Office has arrested a teacher for cruelty to children.
Officials say that 46-year-old Chad Keen struck a 7-year-old student on the head with a pointer at Heritage Elementary School on Nov. 8. The child received multiple bumps on the head from the striking.
The Georgia Division of Family and Children's Services notified the Sheriff's office last week. During the investigation, police discovered two more children had been struck on the same day as the reported incident.
One of those children was 6 years old. The other was 8.
Keen turned himself in on Tuesday morning.
He has now been released on bond. The investigation is ongoing.
Officials are asking anyone with information about the incidents to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at (478) 751-7500 or Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME.
