Shooting victim terrified after suspect given bond
ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A shooting victim is in fear for her life after she says the man who shot her has been released from jail.
The DeKalb County mother asked us not to show her face or share her name.
Prosecutors say 30-year-old Rick Foster broke into the woman's Eastland Road home through a window and shot her in the stomach in January.
"He came in with a gun in his hand and I tried to wrestle with him to get him out of the house and I was shot," she said.
The two have a child together.
"My son came out and seen I was shot and blood was everywhere and said 'Mommy, I thought you were dead,'" she told FOX 5.
While the victim was on bed rest, the District Attorney's office gave her the news: Foster was given a $50,000 bond, an ankle monitor, and an order to remain under house arrest away from the victim.
