State legislators condemn planned white nationalist rally in Newnan
NEWNAN, Ga. - Legislators Thursday condemn the white nationalist rally planned for this weekend in Newnan.
Members of the Coweta County Legislative Delegation made the announcement Thursday afternoon.
The rally, which is set for Saturday, has stirred serious controversy in Newnan.

The lawmakers said they were putting aside political differences to condemn the views being espoused during the rally.
While they said they support free speech, they also said that's no excuse for hate speech.
Several groups have said they are planning counter-protests or alternative gatherings to take place during the rally.
Meanwhile, the city said it's working with various agencies to ensure everyone's safety during the event.
