Super Bowl impact on Atlanta
ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - In just a matter of days, tens of thousands of people will flood into Atlanta for Super Bowl LIII.
Preparations are well underway at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Thursday, officials gave an update on the progression of plans for the big game.
Atlanta Super Bowl Host Committee Chief Operating Officer Brett Daniels addressed the Atlanta Convention and Visitors’ Bureau Executive Committee Thursday morning.
One of the biggest topics he touched on was how the Super Bowl's economic impact is about much more than just the game.
Daniels says the Super Bowl gives the city a chance to show off what it has to offer.
He suggests the economic boost to the area will be a conservative estimate of $185 million.
