Suspect in 2001 murder taken into custody
CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. - The Clayton County Sheriff's Office says they have arrested a man wanted in a 2001 homicide in the Virgin Islands.
Deputies say Reynaldo Rivera was taken into custody Friday, 17 years after investigators say he left the scene of a murder.
Police in the Virgin Islands say the victim had been shot to death.
Friday, Clayton County deputies located Rivera in Jonesboro and took him into custody.
Rivera's charges include first-degree murder, first-degree assault, and reckless endangerment.
