The airport set to grow... again
ATLANTA - It may seem construction never ends at Atlanta’s Hartsfield Jackson International Airport. Officials rightly said that is a sign of success at the world's busiest facility.
In order to keep pace, they have on the drawing board a new runway, new concourse, a hotel and more parking among the additions. The cost is estimated at $6 billion.
For Georgians who may have to use the airport once a week or perhaps just once a year, they will have to deal with construction headaches all over again.
It means traffic rerouting and some changes on parking locations. Yet, the most dramatic changes to your airport trip will still be several years away.
