Tree planted to honor crime victims in Henry County
HENRY COUNTY, Ga. - This week is National Crime Victims’ Rights Week and in recognition, the Henry County District Attorney's Office planted a tree Thursday in honor of crime victims.
The ceremony took place along the banks of Big Springs Park in McDonough which is a quick walk from the courthouse.
County officials hope it helps provide a peaceful place for victims to reflect.
National Crime Victims' Rights Week, which runs from April 8 to 14, is a national movement to promote the rights and services for victims of crime.
