Snellville Walmart shooting suspect now charged with murder
SNELLVILLE, Ga. - Snellville Police filed updated charges of murder Friday against a man accused of shooting another man to death outside of a Walmart store.
Snellville Police announced Friday morning they had upgraded the charge against 28-year-old Troy Hunte from voluntary manslaughter to murder.
Authorities also told FOX 5’s Aungelique Proctor they plan to file charges against Hunte’s fiancé.
According to police, Hunte and his fiancé got into an argument with 49-year-old Fadil Delkic in the parking lot of the Walmart at 1550 Scenic Highway on Sunday.
Police said Hunte fired a single shot from a semi-automatic handgun, hitting Delkic in the chest.

According to a police news release, Hunte and his fiancé had a verbal argument with Delkic when the woman struck Delkic in the face.
Police said Hunte then pulled a handgun from his pocket and shot Delkic once in the chest.
Medics rushed Delkic to Gwinnett Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Snellville Police Detective Jeff Manley said the incident began when Delkic started driving his car out of the parking lot.
According to Manley, the woman was pushing a stroller with her baby inside and thought Delkic drove his vehicle too close to them.
The officer said Delkic got out of his vehicle, the two argued, and the woman hit Delkic in the face.
According to Manley, that's when Hunte shot Delkic.
Police investigators, working the Gwinnett County District Attorney’s Office, initially charged Hunte with voluntary manslaughter.
On Friday, Gwinnett County District Attorney Danny Porter told FOX 5 his office will charge the woman, who he identifies as Monique Austin, with either simple battery or being a party to the crime of murder.
Snellville Police ask any witnesses who have not already been interviewed by investigators to contact them at 770-985-3555 to provide a statement.
