Woman's body found in Lake Lanier

HALL COUNTY, Ga. - Hall County investigators have released the name of the woman whose body was found near the shore of Lake Lanier.

Deputies said the body belongs to 53-year-old Tonja Hall of McDonough.

The discovery was made Friday morning off one of the fairways at Lake Lanier Islands near the Legacy and Villa lanes.

Authorities said they also found Hall's car parked nearby.

Investigators are waiting for an autopsy to determine the cause of death but said they didn't find any indications of foul play.
