Woman testifies to grand jury about accident
ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A woman whose arm was amputated after a crash with an Atlanta police patrol car told her story to a Fulton County grand jury on Wednesday
Lisa Williams said she had a green light when she drove on Peeples Street approaching Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard last February.
Investigators said Officer Dejoria Phillips was responding to a call in a marked patrol car when she went through a red light. The two cars collided.
Medics rushed both drivers to the hospital.
Doctors had to amputate Williams’ left arm.
Investigators said the officer's emergency lights were in use at the time.
Officer Philips is still with the department.
