Evacuation order in Georgia lifted as Dorian moves out
ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - The mandatory evacuation order for Georgia coast residents earlier in the week was lift Thursday morning after Hurricane Dorian continued its way up the coast.
Governor Brian P. Kemp lift the order around 9:30 a.m. for Bryan, Camden, Chatham, Glynn, Liberty, and McIntosh counties
Bryan, Camden, Glynn, and Liberty counties said they are allowing residents and visitors back to the counties.
The Georgia Department of Transportation also spent Thursday assessing and inspecting infrastructure, such as roads and bridges in the affected area. As of Thursday afternoon, the F.J. Torras (St. Simons Island), Downing Musgrove (Jekyll Island), Sidney Lanier Bridge, and Tybee Island Causeways were cleared for travel.
