Antique hunters flock to the Cathedral for annual Show
ATLANTA - If you’re one of the many people who loves to treasure-hunt at antique shows, there’s a big one this week that might just have what you’ve been searching for. The Cathedral Antiques Show has been a Buckhead tradition for nearly 50 years, and returns this weekend thanks to an army of volunteers.
The 47th Annual Cathedral Antiques Show is happening Wednesday, January 24th through Saturday, January 27th at the Cathedral of St. Philip in Buckhead. The event is an outreach project sponsored by the Episcopal Church Women, and raises funds for a different local charity each year. This year’s recipient is A.G. Rhodes Health & Rehab, which provides various services to three metro Atlanta nursing homes. Since 1969, the Cathedral Antiques Show has raised more than $5 million for local non-profits. Along with the antiques show (with hours Thursday, Friday, and Saturday), the event also features a Tour of Homes (on Sunday), a Flower Festival, and a full panel of discussions and signings with authors and designers.
