It’s always a full-circle moment when UniverSoul Circus returns to Atlanta, considering the world-famous performance troupe was created here more than 25 years ago.  And with two stops in North Georgia during the UniverSoul Circus tour this season, there are plenty of chances to celebrate this hometown success story.

UniverSoul Circus is currently performing at the Grey Lot of the Old Turner Field until March 3rd, and will then move to Gwinnett Place Mall from March 6th through March 17th. The circus was founded right here in Atlanta 26 years ago by concert promoter Cedric Walker, envisioned as an entertainment extravaganza combining elements of live theatre, high-powered concerts, and circus arts.

To make it all happen, UniverSoul Circus brings in acts from around the world, starting with Ringmaster Lucky from South Africa (you’ve seen him on Good Day Atlanta many times in the past!) and including Caribbean Dancers from Antigua, Ice Skaters from Cuba, and a new Hand to Hand Statue act from Guinea!

Tickets for both local engagements are available now from Ticketmaster, and start at just $20.  The Grey Lot at the Old Turner Field is located at 150 Ralph Abernathy Boulevard in Atlanta, and Gwinnett Place Mall is located at 2100 Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken has long been trying to steal Ringmaster Lucky’s job — very unsuccessfully, of course — and spent the morning with the gang from UniverSoul Circus once again hoping to prove he has what it takes to be part of this world-class ensemble.
