Burgers with Buck: Central City Tavern

Kudos to Mayor Steve Edwards and all the city planners and staff that have invested their time and energy into making the E-Center at Sugar Hill the place to be. Mission accomplished.  From city hall to the town lawn and amphitheater, to the community theatre, to the gym, and to all the retail, office, and restaurant space, it has already made downtown Sugar Hill a destination, and there is still much more to come.
Speaking of restaurant space, right in the middle of this awesome new development is Central City Tavern. It is an upscale sports bar with good food and cool drinks, boasting an industrial look in a modern environment. While all that is well and good, #BurgersWithBuck went to Sugar Hill for one reason... The Cowboy Chorizo Burger.

How does this sound? A thick beef patty with chorizo, guacamole, Pico de Gallo, jalapeno ranch, and shredded Mozzarella all served on a craft bun? It's as good as it sounds. Even better, it is one of the menu items that, when purchased, will go to support a very worthy cause.

September is Hunger Action Month and Central City Tavern is taking action. They are launching a new lunch menu (which includes the Cowboy Chorizo Burger), and 10% of the proceeds from the purchases of the items on that menu will be donated to North Gwinnett Co-Operative Ministries to help provide assistance for families throughout Buford, Sugar Hill, and Suwanee. In other words, it is the definition of a win-win.
