CANTON, Ga. - It’s been a tradition for North Georgia families for more than three decades – and this weekend, it returns to one of Cherokee County’s most beautiful parks for a second year.
The 34th annual Riverfest Arts & Crafts Festival will take place Saturday and Sunday, September 29th and 30th, at Canton’s Etowah River Park, which is located right on the banks of the Etowah River. This year’s event will feature more than 200 arts and crafts vendors, along with food and live entertainment. Riverfest is a fundraising effort by the Service League of Cherokee County, which is the oldest volunteer service organization in the county and was founded with a mission to provide necessities to children in need.
Hours for this year’s Riverfest are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Etowah River Park is located at 600 Brown Industrial Parkway in Canton, and admission for adults and children 11 years old and older is a $5 donation at the entrance gates. Parking is free, and there will be a shuttle service running.
Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken spent the morning at Etowah River Park, chatting with some of this year’s vendors and getting a preview of this weekend’s festival.
