First VR Coaster opens at Six Flags Over Georgia
AUSTELL, Ga. - It's opening weekend at Six Flags Over Georgia, and the park is taking a bold leap into the future...through virtual reality!
Six Flags Over Georgia in Austell is debuting the nation's first "virtual reality roller coaster" -- called The New Revolution at Dare Devil Dive. Riders will wear VR gear, allowing them to become fighter jet "co-pilots" battling to save Earth from an alien invasion. Meanwhile, the park is also debuting two new kids' areas. Beginning on March 12, guests can visit the newly-themed Bugs Bunny Boomtown, which contains seven new attractions. Then, May 27 heralds the arrival of the DC Super Friends kids area, which brings superheroes and villains to life with several new "experiences."
