FOX 5 welcomes Alyse Eady to Good Day Atlanta
ATLANTA - Alyse Eady joined FOX 5's Good Day Atlanta as the morning newscast's new anchor and reporter Thursday morning. Alyse comes to FOX 5 from her home state of Arkansas, where she most recently anchored the morning newscast at KTHV (CBS) in Little Rock.
FOX 5's Vice President and General Manager Bill Schneider said, "Alyse is a perfect addition to our 'Good Day' team. Her passion for news and love of community will make our morning team even stronger."
Before her first morning on Good Day, Alyse said, "I'm looking forward to joining the FOX 5 team and becoming part of the Atlanta community. With all of the friendly people here and the southern hospitality, I already feel right at home."
Alyse was named Miss Arkansas 2010, and was first runner-up while representing the state in the 2011 Miss America pageant. She is a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University, and is pursuing a Master's Degree in Communications from Purdue.
Alyse has been actively involved with the Boys and Girls Club of America, having joined her local club while growing up in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The organization sent her to Turkey and Germany to mentor children whose parents were deployed there. Alyse said she is looking forward to working with the Boys and Girls Club here in Atlanta.
She anchors along with Karen Graham, Joanne Feldman, Katie Beasley, Ron Gant and Buck Lanford on Good Day Atlanta weekday mornings from 4:30 a.m. until 10 a.m.
