ATLANTA - If you're interested in breaking into the world of acting, Atlanta really is a great place.
According to the Georgia Department of Economic Development, 320 feature film and television productions were shot in Georgia in FY 2017 representing $2.7 billion in direct spending in the state.
Casting associate and writer Michael Gillespie helps cast actors for several productions shot right here in Georgia.
He talked to Good Day Atlanta's Alyse Eady about how beginner actors can break into acting by providing helpful tips on how to get started. He says if you want casting directors to take you seriously, education is the key to success.
