LOS ANGELES, Ca. - The man behind some of television’s most popular and influential shows is back – and this time, he’s bringing to life stories of first responders and the way they work together to save lives.
“9-1-1” is the new FOX drama series from Ryan Murphy (“Glee,” “American Horror Story”), and stars Academy Award-nominee Angela Bassett and Emmy Award-nominees Peter Krause and Connie Britton as a trio of first responders working some of the most stressful and high-intensity jobs on the planet. Every Wednesday night, the show delves into the way various agencies respond to emergencies and work together to contain situations and save lives – not to mention showing how these men and women deal with turmoil in their own personal lives. According to Britton, known for past television hits including “Friday Night Lights” and “Nashville,” this show has opened her eyes to the realities of being a 911 dispatcher: “It’s such a unique skill set, and I have such immense respect for the people who do it and the training that they’ve gone through and their professionalism,” she says.
Thanks to FOX Publicity, Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken recently traveled to Los Angeles to chat with the stars of “9-1-1” about this exciting and intense new show. And don’t miss new episodes of “9-1-1” every Wednesday at 9:00 p.m. on FOX 5 Atlanta.
