It’s a brand-new musical drama premiering Sunday right here on FOX, but if something about the show feels a little familiar to you, there’s a good reason.

The Resident” is the latest entertainment project to shoot in Atlanta, with several notable locations prominently featured in the show.  “The Resident” follows young doctors at a hospital (which looks suspiciously like the High Museum of Art!) during their final years of training, and stars Matt Czuchry (“Gilmore Girls,” “The Good Wife”), Bruce Greenwood (“The People v. O.J. Simpson”), and Melina Kanakaredes (“Providence”).  Asked about living and working in Atlanta, Czuchry tells Good Day Atlanta, "I love it. I have family there, so that's always nice. I have great friends that are there, my brother went to Georgia Tech, my sister-in-law went to Georgia Tech, my nephew went to Georgia Tech, so I have those kind of connections."

Thanks to FOX Publicity, Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken recently traveled to Los Angeles to chat with the stars of “The Resident” about their experiences being part of the “Hollywood of the South.”  And don’t miss the series premiere Sunday, January 21 at 9 p.m. on FOX 5 Atlanta!
