ROSWELL, Ga. - He was born Theodor Geisel, but with the publication of his first children’s book in 1937, he became forever known around the world as Dr. Seuss. And this weekend, the author and artist’s incredible body of work will be celebrated at a unique Metro Atlanta gallery.
Roswell’s Ann Jackson Gallery is hosting its annual Dr. Seuss Holiday Show this Friday, December 1st through Sunday, December 3rd. The gallery is home to a huge collection of works by Dr. Seuss, not only from his world-famous children’s books but also surrealist pieces he created for his own personal satisfaction. Along with showcasing these exclusive works of art, the Dr. Seuss Holiday Show will also bring some iconic characters (watch out for The Grinch!) and Seuss-inspired treats for guests to enjoy.
Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken spent the morning at Ann Jackson Gallery checking out some of the artist’s best and least-known works and learning more about this fascinating and incredibly influential man.
