Death investigation in Decatur

One person is dead after a shooting overnight in Decatur, according to police.

A man has been arrested for shooting and killing his roommate overnight in Decatur.

It happened around 3 a.m. along the 3800 block of Emerald North Drive.

According to DeKalb County Police, the two men got into an argument and one of them shot the other, killing them. 

Police have identified the victim as 52-year-old Douglas Grant.

The suspect, 47-year-old Timothy Butler, was taken into custody and is currently in jail.
