SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. - Authorities are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the capture of the person responsible for the murder of a Sandy Springs senior citizen, after tracking down the car belonging to the victim.

Kay Thomasson, 71, was found dead around 7 p.m. Wednesday at a residence on Old Woodbine Road. Investigators believe the actual murder took place earlier that morning.
On Saturday morning, investigators found the missing 2012 Kia Sorrento in Chamblee at an apartment complex. Police say the car is related to the death investigation. Officers canvassed the area after finding the car. Crime scene investigators are searching the vehicle for evidence.
No word on if the suspect lives in the apartment complex.
