ATLANTA - Classmates of 15-year-old Preston Lewis, a student at Booker T. Washington High School, pay their respects to a friend they called a fun-loving teenager who had plenty of friends.
Sunday evening, friends held a vigil on Holderness Street by the place where the young man was shot and killed.
"I wanted everyone to come out and stand in paradise for Preston," said one classmate who organized the vigil through an Instagram post.
Saturday, Atlanta Police told FOX 5 news someone found the teen's body shortly before 5 a.m. at the intersection of Greenwich and Holderness Streets.
Neighbors reported hearing a single gunshot. Police said Lewis had one fatal gunshot wound.
At this time, detectives have no suspects or getaway car descriptions. Detectives went back to the scene Sunday to search for answers.
"Somebody knows something," one parent said.
